What's improved in V3.3 BoardUp

I heard a lot of great suggestions from users. Also of course problems that need to be improved. Here is the list of what we have improved.

  1. Bearings are high quality now ABEC-9 . It can spin quite longer.
  2. Wheel material improved. It is high re-bounce resilience. Together with better bearings, BoardUp is now can run 40-60% longer with one kick.
  3. Deck is slightly improved. Added one additional fiber glass layer. supports wheel size 70mm, 75mm, 80mm,83mm,( width < 53mm)
  4. Riser pad is 2mm thicker. Now it is 5mm. It will absorb more shock and vibration.
  5. The truck is 4mm taller and the kingpin is less angled so it can support sharper turn. Also the truck has a better aesthetics than V2.
  6. The Middle hinge has both edges cut and the deck is 6mm higher above ground. It is much less likely to touch the ground when making sharp turn unless it is next to the road high bump.
  7. Improved middle hinge makes locking more precise and tight. No more wobbling, or a small gap between the hinges.
  8. Re-designed kickpad allows user to replace the truck with his/her favorite ones.

Based on the feedback from V3 customers. They enjoyed V3 more.

Is the BoardUp longboard water proof?
Yes. While the materials are waterproof, water can rust away metal over time so we recommend drying your board after it gets wet. This will ultimately extend the life of the board and retain its durability.
Does BoardUp fold while riding?

BoardUp’s® patented locking hinge pins the deck open while riding and only folds up when the kick pad is engaged at the proper angle. This limited angle of action from the kick pad ensures that the rider won’t accidentally collapse the board while cruising.

The board in Braille Skateboarding's YouTube video looks different, what's the difference?

The board Aaron Kyro used in his video was our first version of BoardUp® and has since seen some upgrades in design.

  1. The locking mechanism that holds the longboard from folding is stronger and re-designed smaller with the same strength
  2. The Kick Pad on the board’s nose is now aluminum alloy which cuts down on weight and provides a more durable pad for stomping
  3. We refined the deck’s design for a more modern look. Both in the graphics side of things but also the form of the board. Our deck layout around the wheels now allows for harder turns without wheel biting.
